i am BACK!! finally, in singapore.

hong kong was not as great as i thought it would be. sure, they have like much more international brands and greater aparrel variety within each brand as compared to sg. but most of the shopping malls are offering more or less the same brands as we have back at home. just that the discounts there are much more outragous- like since when does EQ:IQ offer 50% off ALL BAGS? and their agatha has a much wider selection of accessories. oh, but they have WAY too many luxury shops all over the place. like coach is almost becoming a high street brand there; there's just so many outlets!!

the food's quite nice; but the variety is rather limited. like apart from their roasted meat and dim sum, i think that's about it. and most of it you can get it in sg. just that you might have to go to hotel restaurants or sth like that. oh and even for a complete carnivore like me, i got quite sicm of meat on the last day cause we have been eating NOTHING but roasted meat and dim sum and noodles.

generally, the ambience of the whole place was not very good. i think singaporeans are slightly friendlier and less stuckup ***(THIS IS JUST A RANDOM COMMENT, NO ILL INTENTIONS TARGETTED AT ANYONE)*** and the streets are definitely not clean, especially in the non CBD areas like kowloon etc. and even in hongkong island at causeway bay and central where all the high ends are supposedly located, the streets are not that fantastic either.

so apart from a major shopping spree (which could have been done in sg at slightly higher prices BUT without the airfare + airport taxes + lodging fare + insurance + slight disconfort), i dont think i'll want to go back there again..... not anytime soon anyway.
